The W in Weekend is for Work right?Sun., Mar. 13, 2005 22:06:05 I've been multitasking for about 3 days straight now. As I type I am working on a client's website. Here in the last hours of my three day weekend I came to a realization that I didn't stop to relax at all. I can understand maybe getting away with working throughout a two day weekend. That's only two days of work right? I just worked a full three day weekend. After a full week of work. And this week I'll be working every day once again. Let's do a little math now... 4 days + 3 days + 5 days = 12 days of solid work! ARRG.
I seem in agony now, but I work for future benefit. Some of the work I do now will even benefit me in the future without further work! Other things I'm doing now just add cash to my pockets. But still, why am I doing this? Well, one big reason, and a sub-reason. Let's start with the sub reason. I want a car! No, not any car I could afford now. A specific car. More of an SUV rather. A '93 Toyota 4Runner SR5. I've been promised Kelly Blue Book value for this car (currently $5500) at the end of the summer, courteously Uncle Roger's Motors Inc (where my family gets our cars). If I work enough now, hopefully I'll have that much then. If not, well, I may have to do a bit of begging. I think I'll practice a little now (knowing that you're reading this Uncle Roger)... please, please, please...anyway, that was embarrassing.
Now, on to that main reason. If I have my own car, I'll be free to drive to work on any day I want. No wait...I don't think that was it. Oh yeah, Elizabeth! If I have my own car, I'll be able to drive all the way out to Puyallup more often to visit Elizabeth.
That last paragraph seems like it should be longer, yet it also seems to end well at it's current length. hmm.
